I originally did this back in 2013 to see if it would be a realistic project idea for school children. The idea was to get the kids to create a simple animation, from script writing and story-boarding, up to making a simple animation using either drawn images, stop-motion (using Lego) or just straight-forward filming action figures / toys.
It took me longer than I thought to do the storyboard (maybe a week, on and off), so I wasn't enthusiastic about proposing this project to the principle. The children would have enough to do with homework, let alone the time needed to make the finished project.
The idea did come up again back in March, but the principle went with making a short film instead (with a different visitor).
