More Than Colouring Pencils... A Life In Technicolour

I did this picture as part of my interview with Miss Isabel. I think my answers were longer than she expected and the interview had to be divided into two parts. Both parts of my interview are available now on the Your Favorite Eneimes' Mypsace page.

Moose going too far with Twitter

A request from Miss Isabel. She had the idea for a picture of Charles going too far with his love for Twitter.

Vintage Big Bird

I was asked to do these nearly a year ago. I still don't know why! They were never used in the end.
Big Bird (Matt) has changed his look since then.

Space... The Final Frontier

I already posted pictures of the sketches and cleaned-up line work of these two weeks ago. I finally got a Intuos4 (and yes, I am worried about the corrosive work surface and fragile USB connection) which meant I could finally colour some things in

There is a bit of a story behind them. I was working in the studio with Sef quite a bit, so I was inspired (or ordered, I can't remember) to draw a Space Gorilla based on his tattoo. I went with a "dirty" look for it, a break away from my usual child-friendly work.

Sef:
'Do you know what would look good with a Space Gorilla?
A Space Moose!!'

Jeff has so many Followers

Miss Isabel came to be with an idea for a picture...

You too can Follow Jeff on Twitter. Are you "rock" enough to Follow Sef?
Or for more relevant info about whats going on, check out Your Favorite Enemies on Twitter too.

Juliette's Birthday - YFE France

Yesterday was Juliette's birthday. Naturally, like all things, I only discovered that morning. It took me most of the day to figure how I was going to draw her. I then procrastinated for awhile and then eventually thought about what I was going to do for the background.
She had recently returned from an adventure in Tennessee where she visited the Smokey Mountains... and saw a bear.

I added a bit of black and white colour to this image in Photoshop using the Magnetic Lasso tool.
The picture I gave Juliette only had the pencil.

Some Stuff

WOW! It has been a long time since I experimented with this blog. I am still testing other sites to see what would be the best way to get my art out there while at the same time try to show people the process that goes into it.
So far, I have had some luck with MySpace . I don't know what is the best option though... I can't imagine many people reading any of my blogs.

Some Stuff...
I don't have access to my Intous3 or any other Wacom at the moment, so I have been stuck with doing some pencil/ pen sketches. They are rough (in my opinion) and very unfinished. But I thought I might as well post them since I don't know when (or if) I will get to finish them.

It's tough work adding any form of atmosphere using just the touch pad on one's laptop!

This picture was inspired by this article I found about the cancer cells of a woman that have been in use for the past 50 years.
